Design Quarter and Smiling Coffee

Today I got up early and basically spent my morning walking through Clerkenwell, distributing maps for the London Design Festival. Clerkenwell is a lovely quarter in the center of London, home to design and media companies, little shops, architecture studios, cute cafes and the big food market on Leather Lane. Although I had a heavy backpack to carry and partially felt like I was annoying people, I really enjoyed walking in that neighborhood, looking through windows and enjoying the sunshine.

After lunch, Maria, Andrea, Giovanni and me went to Choccywoccydoodah for merienda. OMG, guys, you can’t imagine! You remember that amazing café in Brighton, I was writing about a while ago? Well, we found out that they have a shop in London as well!! We had milkshake, smiling coffee, 5-layer-cake and a dipping pot – cake, fruits and other sweets with a pot of liquid chocolate to drown them in *hmmm* Maria and me just couldn’t resist but document everything…

After seeing some comic shops and a stroll through Carnaby Street, Soho and Leicester Square we decided that we better compensate all the sugar inducted earlier and so we headed for Barnyard. There we had an amazing dinner – under the personal supervision of Gonzo, who was sending complimentary drinks and miniature desserts to our table 😀

We´re back home now, full with food and lovely impressions.
That day definitely gets a “like”!

XX, Angie
