Christmas Shortbread

Hollaroh everyone!

I did it again. Yes, guilty. Even though we have plenty of sweets and cookies in our cupboards, I spent the whole morning baking my heart out. Just can’t help it! 🙂

I found the most simple, yet amazing Shortbread recipe; easy to cut and yummy buttery in taste. But as traditional and British as it might be, plain old Shortbread would be way to boring for the season – so I raised the Christmas-factor by adding red and green sprinkles! *yay*


That’s what you need:

300 g plain flour
200 g unsalted butter
100 g caster sugar
vanilla sugar to taste

I simply kneaded everything together in a big bowl and then chilled the dough for about 30 minutes in the fridge. Roll out ca. 1 cm thick an cut out shapes. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes at 130 °C until golden.
Thadaaa!! There you go, super easy and super yummy! 🙂
